Scrap JAMB Now, Bring back post UTME

- The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the federal government to scrap the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

- ASUU said JAMB has outlived its usefulness and this has led to the dwindling standard of offering admissions by universities

- The union also said a new standard of offering admission should be introduced by the federal government

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the federal government to scrap the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The chairman of the University of Ibadan (UI) chapter Deji Omole said JAMB has outlived its usefulness thereby reducing the standard of offering admissions to Nigerian students.

"We want the FG to scrap JAMB  and bring back post utme, we can no longer bear what jamb has been doing this past years. The pressure which is put upon nigeria parents are too much, the economic is going down and you don't expect us to pluck money from the tree at all.

FG to see to this situation and help us to scrap jamb once and for all, we have suffered and labour for our brothers, sisters, children to make sure we enrol them in their O'level exams like waec, neco, GCE etc.
