Thieves tied to a tree after they were caught stealing coconuts (photos)

Is this the best kind of punishment to be given to suspected thieves?

There has been a trend of funny and somewhat weird punishments being meted out on people caught stealing all over the world, that we cannot help but wonder where they get their 'creative' ideas from.

Just recently, a thief who was caught in the act, was given a bowl of fresh yellow peppers and made to eat them raw.

Now these two young men in the photos below were reportedly caught stealing coconuts and were handcuffed and then tied to the tree they stole from.

The incident reportedly took place in a Malaysian neighbourhood on June 2, 2017.
